It started out as a dream.  Perry Carey of Jefferson City dreamed of a way to bring the community together and honor Christ at the same time. He wanted to find a way to tear down denominational walls and man-made religious hang-ups, just to come together as one body in Christ and honor and glorify God. The goal was to bring churches together so they can be more productive in reaching people for Christ

That dream five years ago gave birth to the Missouri Christian Festival at the Missouri State Capitol. The Missouri Christian Festival is one of only two Christian events in the United States that is allowed to take place on government property. (The other is in Alaska.) To bring this event to life took more than just a dream though. It took the work of many volunteers and most importantly it took God to make it a reality.
